After just a few years of marriage filled with constant arguments, a young man and his wife decided the only way to save their marriage was to try counseling. They had been at each other's throats for some time and felt that this was their last chance. When they arrived at the counselor's office, the counselor jumped right in and opened the floor for discussion. " What seems to be the problem?" Immediately, the husband held his long face down without anything to say. In contrast, the wife began talking 90 miles an hour, describing all the wrongs within their marriage. After 15 min. of listening to the wife, the counselor went over her, picked her up by her shoulders, kissed her passionately and sat her back down. Afterwards, the wife sat speechless. The couselor looked aver at the husband and said to the man, " Your wife NEEDS that at least 2x a week!" The husband scratched his head, smiled and replied, " I can have her here on Tuesdays and Thursdays".

How can I bring up the idea to my husband of me and him going to counseling? I have a lot of trust issues with my husband and everytime I try to talk to him at home about it, he gets real defensive and angry, so I want to try counseling, but I think he won't want to go. Also, about how much does marriage counseling cost?

Last week a friend of mine was arrested on domestic abuse. It all started my friend's wife brought home a guy saying he did not have a place to go, They had another guy there before him. They lived in a one bedroom apt. She done that purposely to see what he would do. They (the two men did not leave when asked to leave. He called the cops. Before they came, He told her not to tell the cops about the scrach or the bruises on her arms. Well she told the cops and he was arrested on abuse, He was in jail for a few days. He was evicted from his apt. complex (they can not have no crimanal activity of any kind while staying in the apt complex. Now he has a thirty day no contact w/ her until the court date. He thinks she would drop the charges if she really loved him. This abuse has been going on some time. From what he told me. He was or has been in therpy classes. But I do not think he will change. If I was her, I divorce him. Is it really worth going through all that?

Does Marriage Counselling help at all, do they tell you what to do or they just seat there and listen to you spill your brains.. Would they be honest enough as to tell you to end a marriage.. I am thinking of going to one and the thing is that i do not want to be told to try and work things out.

I've been dating a guy for about 8 months now. we r from diff cultures (sometimes it becomes prominent cuz we have slight communication problem, we both speak good english btw) but we do love each other. the problem is my parents r pushing me to have an arranged marriage with this other guy and they keep convincing me that cultural diff will become a big problem for my boyfriend and I....what should I do...Im having arguments with my parents every day cuz of this!

I am going to be married going on for 2yrs. I was happy and in LOVE. BUT...... found of he was talking to other women behind my back early in the marriage... So now we argue.. it's like a routine....2days we are okay and by the 3rd day arguing... I told him so many times that I lost the trust in him and he does try to gain the trust back. But "his way" spending quality time is his body being their physical but he is either playing video games or watching TV and ignoring me.
